Nils holds a PhD from the University of Côte d’Azur for his thesis entitled “Compliance: From Its American Origins to Its European Development” (2022). He was subsequently qualified for the position of associate professor (2023). His thesis has been selected to receive the prestigious Dalloz Publishing Award and will be published in 2024 in the Nouvelle Bibliothèque des Thèses collection.
